Our tops, shorts and nightshirts are so unique because they are actually made from men’s shirts! We are 100% committed to circular fashion: we sort, wash and select end-of-life men’s shirts, and transform them into soft, trendy and unique nightwear. This way, we offer a second life cycle to the precious cotton the shirts are made from, and save upto 5000 l of fresh water with every shirt we recycle! Our raw material is “grown” and sourced locally, and we organize our production cycle as locally as we can as well. We are happy to invite you to contribute to, and enjoy circular fashion!
100% CIRCULAR
Men’s shirts are actually a great source of fine quality cottons in soft and delicate colors and patterns. Shirts finish their first lifecycle at the moment when the collar starts getting used. That’s when they usually finish up in the wardrobe and eventually end up getting thrown away. Very often, not even 10% of their textile surface is end of life when we consider that the entire shirts are end of life. At Joseffa’s, we collect these shirts and work on the valuable parts in order to create our unique and sustainable nightwear collection.

Together with CILAB in Belgium, we are testing circular product passports that provide consumers, resellers and recyclers with info on size, care instructions, fibre composition of fabric and trimmings, repair instructions, ecological impact and recycle instructions. By sharing this information we make sure our resources are kept in the loop, over and over. Please conserve your hangtag with QR-code sticker with your Joseffa nightwear and send both of them together to your nearest textile collection center, once you'll choose not to wear it anymore.
